An interactive exploration of light, energy, and decay, offering visitors a hands-on experience. Over the course of the residency, Jon will facilitate workshops and discussions around themes of:
* Light as a transient phenomenon
* The nature of change in contemporary physics and philosophy.
* Energy decay and sustainability
* The relationship between technology and natural rhythms
Guided drop-in sessions where participants can:
- Learn to assemble simple circuits to explore the impact of power loss on light
- Co-create acoll aborative light-based installation
- Explore themes of impermanence and sustainability in relation to the Estuary
This micro-residency is part of HOFS exhibition Without Boundaries. Jon will create a light installation that will evolve and decay for the duration of the exhibition and there's a chance to hear about Jon's artistic practice and inspiration at Artists in Conversation to be held in the exhibition space.
