Join us for a presentation on the development of a sculptural shelter project
Dreamspace: Pending Approval a public artwork proposed for Hadleigh
Country Park.
Dreamspace: Pending Approval is a conduit for our (Emma Edmondson and Shaun
C. Badham) ongoing research and creative practice centralising on sculpture
exploring DIY ethos’ through third places, public sites and people coming together
to create durational change.
Since April 2025 we have been working in a pop-up outdoor studio on Hadleigh
Farm Estate exploring the space and its materials, making sculptural works
alongside running public workshops with the community. This public engagement
has been central to the development of Dreamspace: Pending Approval and at the
start of each workshop we asked participants; how do you use the site now? What
do you think is missing from the site for future use? In response to this on site
making and speaking to the 200 multi-generational people who attended the
workshops we have shaped a proposal for the site which we would like to now
share with those who attended the sessions and the wider Hadleigh community.
All are welcome to join for this sharing. We welcome reflections, feedback and
conversation about the proposal and also other activities that will be taking place
over the next few years around the project. We can’t wait to share with you.
