My paintings are re-imaginings of post-industrial locations where humanity's interventions are being consumed by nature. These places are often unloved and overlooked, lonely and atmospheric and whilst walking, I immerse myself in this space allowing the echoes of the past to seep under my skin. My work conveys my affinity to this environment.

I explore ways of using paint to create a new vision of the landscape, Through the manipulation of liquid pools of acrylic and oil paint on a surface, I exploit the accidental, allowing forms to coalesce on the canvas and recreate the essence of a watery place. For me, using flowing paint replicates the ebb and flow of the tidal habitat.
